Had a lot of fun getting my hands messy while gearing up for the upcoming workshops.

Dear Blob,

It is true I do <3 Papergirl Vancouver! I really am kinda sorta totally Papergirl obsessed and if you don't know what the Papergirl movement is you can find out here. Lately I have been a busy little bee working on some things for Papergirl and I wanted to share a bit about it.

I’ve been having a lot of messy fun with Eryne Donahue the in-house Papergirl Artist as we created some custom workshops for Papergirl enthusiasts this summer. The “What Moves You?” Workshops celebrate the quintessential symbol of Papergirl- the bicycle. We have hand carved and sourced upcycled elements for print making and I can’t wait to see the way participants put their artworks together using these unconventional materials. The workshops have been designed so that participants can learn the fundamentals of block printing and in the more indepth three hour workshops we will also be covering the fundamentals of composition, colour, layering and masking techniques. Best of all, everyone will learn how to approach printing with unconventional materials to continue their creative journey at home.

I can’t wait to share my love of art making with these lively bicycle inspired workshops!
